Salt Water

A few years ago I found some Navy blue Salt Water Sandals (find them here!) at a thrift store for what was probably $2. I can't say enough good things about them. They're light weight, they good quality, they're super portable and they really comfy.

(You can't tell but the are actually Navy blue). I've seem them around more lately and I'm glad. I really like how much they remind me of childhood and I like the colors they come in even more. See what I mean?

I want them in all those colors but especially the patent leather yellow! How happy looking

Io Sono L'amore

I am a sucker for beautiful typography and the moment I laid eyes on this poster at the movie theater I was former employed at I KNEW I needed it. Lucky enough, I procured it without struggle.

There is so much to love about this poster. I love the focus on Tilda Swinton's character with her red dress and her head poking through the L. I love how the words expand past the edge of the poster. I love how the simple title is written in HUGE letters in a font that would normally never be considered for a title font.

So much to love. I need to get a 27x40 frame for it, I've been mutilating it with pushpins for too long.

More Interiors I Admire

What a unique looking table, love all the red

a great muted, calming pallet and the gallery wall is great too. I enjoy that little plate off to the side

LOVE the streamlined use of black + white + Helvetica in the calender whilst in a small, "cluttered" room. I'm a sucker for contast

This room/space would make me feel as though I was sleeping outside what with the cement floors and over-sized plant. I also just noticed the floral duvet and the plaid pillow cases... genius

the combination of patters, textures, colors and objects in this picture is so delightful. It makes me think of Easter, but not in a bad way.

it took me awhile to realize that what I thought was two-toned finishes on this restyled dresser was really just a shadow but it gave me great inspiration for the next solid-wood chest of drawers I encounter.

fabulous quit, fabulous lamp, fabulous IKEA bed frame.

the stainless steel cabinetry is too "surgeon" for me but I love the displays. I can't get enough plastic deer.

I'm not very into rustic-style dining/kitchen areas but I think the lucite chairs are PERFECT here

nothing like a good black and white graphic print. extra points if it's early cultural artwork.

again, contrast. plastic dinosaurs, crystal, likely fingerpainting masterpiece, all on display at once, and proudly

I was scrolling through a recent Design*Sponge Sneak Peak when I saw this picture:

and quickly took note of the llama. Lucky the caption lead to me to the Etsy shop origin of said llama and I found myself falling all over what I saw there!

Regina sells a beautiful mixture of vintage finds and handmade goodies. I love the way she styles her photographs too!

Here are some of my favorites:

collapsible market basket

a not-quite-naked polar bear this polar bear has picked up some manners along his way, and he claimed he did not like feeling so very naked, and could he have a bit of clothing please. however, he didn't want to be too warm. he has fur for that.

yellow tin spice rack

vintage cream wool needle point purse

I am particularly smitten with her handmade animals. They little stories she creates for them tug my heartstrings. I've always had a soft spot for soft toys.
